Sportsko-Penjački Klub Blagaj officially began in 2017, though its journey began three years earlier. Emerging from grassroots bolting initiatives in 2014, our club brings together passionate climbers from Blagaj and beyond. Built on a foundation of community collaboration and adventurous spirit, we’ve developed a world-class climbing area with unique limestone routes spanning slabs to multi-pitch walls. Today, we unite local and international climbers in promoting sport climbing, environmental stewardship, and year-round access to our cliffs.

🎯 Vision & Achievements

• From community-led bolting weekends to the creation of local infrastructure like the via ferrata, climbing shelters, hiking trails, and the Blagaj Climbing Fest, the club has prioritized volunteerism, local engagement, and cross-regional cooperation.
• It has actively promoted climbing as an inclusive and sustainable activity, connecting citizens and climbers from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and the world.
• Currently, the club is involved in the Eco‑Climb Hub project, aiming to build Bosnia’s first environmentally‑friendly climbing home, integrating renewable energy, eco‑architecture, and biodiversity conservation—with future plans toward designation of the crag as a protected area or national park.
